Process
Red means kids can do these steps.
- Cut broccoli into florets, put in 1 inch water, boil for 5 minutes, take out broccoli and put aside.
- Crack the eggs into a bowl, [wash hands], beat the eggs
- Add salt, [wash hands], mix
- Put oil in nonstick frying pan, medium high flame
- Pour in egg mix, stir fry
- Put in rice when eggs start to set, mix
- Put fried rice in a bowl
- Peel cucumber and cut out one long slice
- [Optional] Boil carrots in water for 10 minutes
- Cut carrot slices into different shapes for decorating. Now all decorating materials are ready.
- Plate two circles of cookie cutters on plate
- [wash hands] wet hands with water so that rice will not stick to hands. Place rice into cookie cutters, use figures to pat down. Remove cookie cutters carefully.
- Place decoration pieces around the rice
- Peel a banana and place on plate
All kinds of cookie cutters can be used here to be creative. For easy to use, choose the ones with few sharp turns.
Just to be healthy, I would provide a variety of vegetables for decoration, such as carrot slices, baby carrots, broccoli, cucumber slices etc.
Raisins make good eyes.
